HPGS believes in the continuing value of older adults and supports all efforts to keep them engaged in our communities as mentors, advisors or simply friends. Studies have shown that consistent volunteering can improve the health and well-being of people age 65 and older by providing a connection to the community and opportunities for personal enrichment. It can decrease stress, social isolation, loneliness and depression.
At HPGS we hope to encourage the older adults in our communities to share their wisdom and skill by volunteering. The organizations listed here would love to have you get involved as a volunteer – contact them today!
